What is SpidItalia?
SPID is the Public System for Digital Identity, which, through a single pair of username and password, allows you to access quickly and easily all the services of the Public Administration. SpidItalia is the name of the SPID digital identity provided by the Identity provider Register.it.

What is the OTP of SpidItalia?
To access various online services with an SPID of at least 2nd level, you need a username, password, and a temporary access code called OTP (One-Time Password). As the name implies, it is a one-time-use code with temporary validity that must be used only once.
The SpidItalia OPT app allows you to use your Android and/or iOS device to generate an OTP code to access online services of the Public Administration via SpidItalia's SPID. The app generates a code to be used as a second step of authentication when logging in using your Spid Italia credentials provided by Register.it.

How to configure the SpidItalia OTP app?
<ol>
 <li>Download the App and associate it with your SpidItalia SPID credentials.</li>
 <li>Access the Selfcare Area on another device by entering your SpidItalia credentials and the OTP code you receive via SMS.</li>
 <li>Click on "App SpidItalia" in the left menu of the Selfcare Area to reach a page with a QR code.</li>
 <li>Use the downloaded Spiditalia OTP app on your device to scan the QR code in the Selfcare Area.</li>
 <li>Enter the verification code received from the SpidItalia OTP App in the Selfcare Area and click on "Proceed".</li>
